Hayes & Fisk Wins Grand Imaging Award

Hayes & Fisk Wins Grand Imaging Award: Mary and Jamie recently returned from Imaging USA, which was held in San Antonio, Texas. Imaging USA is hosted by Professional Photographers of America (PPA) each year. It is known as the BEST photographic event out there, and it brings together thousands of professionals from all over the world.

As you probably know, Mary and Jamie and have been members of PPA for many years, including Mary serving on the board. Imaging USA is a special event that they look forward to every year. It is more than just a trade show. It is a chance to connect with professionals from all over the world. There is so much learning and exchange of knowledge, as well as an opportunity to view the best of photography from the previous year.

Every year at Imaging USA, PPA hosts the Grand Imaging Awards, where IPC (International Photographic Competition) winners compete for the best of 2016’s Loan Collection in six categories: Event Albums, Non-Event Albums, Illustrative, Artist, Portrait, and Wedding. One of those six winners goes on to win the Grand Imaging Award!

This year, we are SO excited to share with you that Jamie won 3rd place for the overall Grand Imaging Award. This means that his entry placed 3rd out of all the portrait or non-event (non-wedding) album entries in the entire competition (over 5000 entries). This is such an exciting honor and Hayes & Fisk couldn’t be more proud to take home this award.

Jamie’s entry was for a non-event album of the beautiful Dover Hall Estate in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia. Below you will see a few images from the awards as well as a several images from the album entry.

Parker’s Newborn Photo Session

We are thrilled to share Parker’s Newborn Photo Session with you! The Moore-Lisi family has been part of the Hayes & Fisk family for many years, but they part of our actual family as well. We have been documenting Sarah’s milestone since she was 13 years old and we photographed Sarah and Lee’s wedding in 2011.

Parker’s newborn session was absolute perfection. He is so adorable and Sarah and Lee’s love for their first born was so magical to watch. Kris and Taylor, Parker’s grandparents, also joined us. When the whole family gets involved in these sessions they truly become memories that they will take away and cherish for a lifetime.

Words from Sarah:

I can’t imagine having important milestones in my life being photographed by any one other than HF!! They have captured every moment since I was 13 years old! Jamie and Mary are amazing to work with and truly capture emotions that other photographers only strive to achieve. The portraits and moments captured are priceless treasures!

We have been shooting this classic towel picture for years but we have finally topped its cuteness with this stack of blue blankets. Each of these blankets were given to Parker as gifts. It is such a special picture that they will treasure forever.
