Condrey Family Portrait Session & Installation

The Condrey Family Portrait Session turned out to be the perfect holiday gift. Lauren and Keith were married 25 years ago and we were there to capture the wonderful memories of their special day. Now what a “treat” it is to be photographing their children, Lydia and Wright. And, we use the word “treat” partially because Laura is the co-owner of Pearl’s Cupcake Shoppe in Richmond, Virginia. As we experienced with Mary’s children and her niece, leaving home for college is a heart-wrenching event. You want nothing but the best for your children, however, being left behind with only the memories of their footsteps is heartbreaking for any parent. This is why celebrating this milestone with a family portrait is a perfect way to keep their memory at home forever, no matter where they end up in life.

During this session, watching Lydia genuinely caring about her little brother just melted Jamie’s heart. She is such a great big sister and we know Wright will miss her when she leaves for college. When Lauren brought her family to our studio she wanted to capture this special time in their lives. In addition, she planned on giving a framed portrait to her parents for their holiday gift. We say it all of the time but the gift of photography is truly one of the most special gifts to give. It is hard to believe that we photographed the Condrey’s wedding 25 years ago. It’s truly full circle to now be photographing their family.

The Condrey’s chose to do both black and white studio shots as well as shots in our garden.  We absolutely love how all of the images turned out. Scroll all the way down to see the final framed portrait of Lydia and Wright.

Lauren was brought to tears when we presented her with the framed portrait. She knew this would be such a wonderful gift her parents at the holidays. This gift will be something that the grandparents will treasure.  Also, it will be part of their family for a lifetime. Again, we cannot express enough what a wonderful gift photography is. Just imagine giving her family something that they will truly get joy out of every day. It is the gift that keeps on giving.
