Springtime Portrait Sessions
Springtime Portrait Sessions are here. In the fall we say how much we love fall sessions in Richmond. Then springtime comes around that becomes our favorite time of year. I guess, no matter the time of year, it is the perfect time for a professional portrait session.
These images come from the Chambers family. It seems like just yesterday when we first photographed Laura’s boys, Cole and Ethan. However, it has been several years now. We just love to document our client’s families as they change and the kids grow up.
Everything was perfect about this Spring day in Central Virginia. Like every 19 months old, Ethan was a little reluctant at times, but we like to see Jamie really working for that perfect image. There is nothing like capturing the essence of childhood and the crazy antics that go with it. It definitely keeps our job fun and exciting. This was the perfect age for Cole’s portraits before he lost his two front teeth. And how cute are Ethan’s overalls? That outfit really enhances the little boy look and feel of these images and his expressions are priceless!
The three oil portraits, from this session, were displayed side by side to showcase how much the boys look alike and their height differences at this moment in time. (See image at the bottom of this post for the installation.)
Jamie always says he wishes he had an oil portrait from his childhood. There is no better way to document your children as they are growing up. These portraits keep the family legacy alive and are truly something that will last a lifetime. Their grandmother, Donna gushed over these images as she told stories of Laura’s portraits when she was a little girl. The effort and time it takes to schedule the session, plan the outfits and have the images done is totally worth it when you see the final product hanging on your walls.
