Perfect weather, perfect family, perfect relatives, perfect waterfront location and perfect personalities made for the most perfect family riverfront session!
As we photograph individuals and families, we often reflect on our own lives. Jamie shared that photographing this session made him do just that. He said, “I am so thankful that I was able to capture Lauren’s family and all the fun that this crew has when they are together. Between the laughter shared by Lauren and Pam and the comradery of near twins, literally born days apart, Eliza and Lucy, I found myself caught up in the wonders of a large family.” Sometimes as we create art, our minds put us in the lives of the people we are photographing, and this enhances our creativity.
The day before this session was a total washout. It rained heavily all day. So the warm sunshine was a welcome change which allowed us the opportunity to create fantastic portraits of every combination imaginable.
The look in Grandmother Edith’s eyes said it all. How fortunate to have made the time to document and preserve these memories for the many generations to come. After all, how many great-grandmothers (at 90) can witness a portrait session like this one. Edith and her entire family relocated to White Stone, VA last year via Long Island, NY. Katie Dew of Isabell K. Horsley Real Estate found them the perfect waterfront home. A place where Edith would be surrounded by her loving family and could really enjoy life.
This session will be the best way to celebrate her life and the future lives of this amazing family. From the candid images on the dock of her great-grandchildren to the perfect family portrait highlighting her wonderful waterfront views, this session is one for the records!
As you can see, this session was done in the fall. However, as we welcome Spring and approach Summer, we encourage you to gather your family and make time to create such special and lasting memories.
