Hayes & Fisk had a wonderful evening with Vern Yip at FETCH a Cure’s Designing with Your Dog in Mind Event. It was a fantastic night of celebrities, Richmond’s top interior designers, amazing entertainment, and fabulous food. 

Celebrity interior designer Vern Yip and his husband Craig, were on hand to host the evening’s festivities. Yip shared his insights on how to design your home to include your pets. 

Six local interior designers were also on hand to showcase how RVA designs for their pets. We had a great time sharing how we help our clients showcase their pet portraiture in their homes. Below you will find the sketches that we showcased at the event.

It was an absolutely perfect evening. Twin brothers, Doug and Christian Benham provided awesome entertainment. Also, there were fabulous auction items like a dog bed by one of the designers and lunch with Verna and Craig in their Atlanta home. 

We hope to see more events like this in Richmond!

Hayes & Fisk is honored to be a part of FETCH a Cure’s upcoming Designing with Your Dog in Mind event. This is a unique speaking engagement and dinner with Vern Yip, veteran interior designer from Trading Spaces and HGTV, New York Times best-selling author, and doggie daycare co-owner. Alongside Vern, several of Virginia’s designers will share their insight on designing with your dog in mind. 

This Designing with Your Dog in Mind event will provide inspiration and insight into the world of interior design. Industry professionals, homeowners, and pet lovers are invited to learn Vern Yip’s unique tactics. He will give guidance around creating functional spaces for both pets and people at home and work.

Dinner will be provided by two of our local favorites, Stella’s and Mosaic Catering + Events.

This special event will take place on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Dewey Gottwald Center. 

We are over the moon excited to be able to share the floor with so many top Virginia Designers.  Photographers are often overlooked by the world of decorating. However, we actually spend a great deal of time with our clients on the design concept and process for our portrait art installations.  We use images of their living space(s) to choose the mood of the portrait, clothing, lighting, framing, size ratios, etc. So, when we were given the opportunity to support a charity we love and show our portrait design concepts it was not even a question that we would participate.

Finally, FETCH a Cure has a special place in our hearts. Many of you participated in our Tails of RVA book project that benefited this wonderful organization. We hope that you will consider joining us at this truly special event.
