We have been patiently waiting to share this Surprise Holiday Portrait Session with you! Moms, Jenn and Kelly, were originally introduced to Hayes & Fisk after winning a gift certificate at an Easter Seals’ Silent Auction. At the time, we photographed their daughter Gray, who was three years old, and little baby Sawyer. We all knew that we would also photograph Sawyer when he turned three years old, so they would have portraits of both children at the same age.

So that is exactly what happened this past Christmas. The children’s father secretly brought Sawyer to our studio for this session. Gray’s portrait was done in the fall and he wanted Sawyer’s to coordinate. Sawyer was the perfect subject. He was so incredibly funny and once he warmed up his personality came through with every click of the camera.

There were almost too many great shots to choose from (if that is possible)! Sawyer is just so cute and it is the perfect age to create this lifelong memory.

Michael was able to keep the surprise from Jenn and Kelly. Just as he had done with Gray’s portrait, he snuck in the living room, while everyone was sleeping and hung the portrait for the family to find. It was such a thoughtful gesture and of course the perfect holiday gift.

He couldn’t sneak Gray out of school without spoiling the surprise, so they are going to come back this spring to get a complete family portrait.
