Courtney looked absolutely beautiful for this session. We fell in love with her gorgeous lace dress. She had her hair and make-up styled perfectly to match the delicate lace.

She was all smiles and her personality came through as she posed in front of the camera. We took some traditional studio portraits. Then we went outside to our gardens, for some outdoor shots. Honestly, we aren’t sure which ones we like better. They all turned out gorgeous.

Our past brides know that we are huge proponents of having bridal portraits done. There is just something about seeing that smile on a bride (even after the wedding) as she poses in her wedding dress and the spotlight is all on her. Courtney isn’t the first bride that we have taken portraits of after the fact. It is never too late to capture a beautiful bride!

While we understand that bridal portraits aren’t for everyone, we do encourage all of our brides to consider having them done. We have never had a bride say that she regrets having a bridal portrait session. However, we have certainly had them tell us that they wish they had done them. So if you are planning a wedding, give us a call to schedule a portrait session consultation. We will photograph your portraits, even if we aren’t your day-of photographer. We are thrilled to share this Hamilton Family Portrait Session with you today. It is full of so much LOVE and we thought it was perfect for this Valentine’s Day Weekend!

Hayes & Fisk is so lucky to have so many clients that we get to document from generation to generation. We photographed Kim and David’s wedding over 20 years ago. Then we were fortunate to do the same for their daughter Logan when she married Spencer. They were married at The Dominion Club in 2016.

Now we couldn’t be more excited to photograph their little girl, Reagan. When we heard Logan was expecting, we knew the baby was going to be adorable. Reagan is the perfect mix of both of her parents. She has big, dark, sparkly eyes, chubby rosy cheeks, and dark black hair. Also, she had a gut-busting laugh that would make anyone smile.

Kim and David joined them for this session to make it a family affair. They even had a portrait made of just the two of them to display in their newly renovated home. We absolutely love delivery day and feel honored that our clients trust us to complete their vision by helping them find the perfect placement for their portraits.

This was such an enjoyable session. Everyone had a blast watching Reagan have so much fun. It’s a great thrill to be documenting and preserving the next generation of happy celebrations.

Masood Family Black and White Session

We just love this Masood Family Black and White Session! We were so thrilled when Samia answered our model call for our latest Black and White Artist Project. The Masood family has not been in our studio since their youngest son, Tariq, underwent surgery for a brain tumor. It literally brought tears to our eyes to watch him wondering about with the watchful eye of his big brother. To have both brothers here, engaging in sports and hobbies, for our project, is so fulfilling.

Honestly, one of the highlights of our special projects is making connections with past clients that we might not have seen in a few years. Watching kids grow up and documenting all of life’s special occasions is truly a blessing for us. We can honestly say that our clients become part of our family.

Black and White Artist Project

We are still seeking models for our latest Black and White Artist Project. This project features teens, adolescents, and kiddoes of all ages doing what they love to do. This includes sports or hobbies and any talent, skill, or passion they may have. It also includes special projects. We encourage you to think BIG and outside of the box. If it is special to your child and your family, then it is special to us.

These fine art black and white portraits will be featured in an upcoming presentation that we will be giving in 2020. Also, for those of you that remember our Tails of RVA coffee table book – who knows, we may even turn this project into another book. Each participant will receive a complimentary session and a 5×7 fine art black and white portrait. The response has already been so amazing for this special project.
