There is so much love behind this Williamson Garden Portrait Session. Liberty and Ben brought their son, Murphy, to our Richmond, VA studio. They wanted us to create a Renaissance Oil Portrait of Murphy. We began by putting together a “mock-up” for them of how it would look in their home. You can see this rendering at the end of this post. Hayes & Fisk is part of the entire process. We start with brainstorming and take you all the way through installation. It is important to us that we create the perfect image that works in your home.
Jamie remembers every detail of meeting Liberty and listening to the story of her mother. Liberty’s mom is no longer with us, but the special bond she had with her one and only grandson will never be forgotten. Jamie says he will never forget the snapshot of Liberty’s mom from this past Christmas. She was reading to Murphy and he had fallen asleep in her arms. He says it reminded him of his own grandmother and how much it would have meant for him to have this memory in a photograph.
Murphy always pointed up to his grandmother with his tiny little index finger. So, Jamie was able to capture that and all of his little personality traits, including how he sticks up his big toe just like his mom used to. Between those big dark eyes and that adorable smile, he kept us all entertained throughout the entire session.
The final Renaissance Oil will be framed in the oval mirror in Liberty and Ben’s living room. It will hang over a sideboard graced with small, framed family photos of a life enriched by the presence of a woman that will always remain in their hearts.
We absolutely love the fact that we can be here to help parents treasure the innocence, magic, and plain fun of the most precious moments in a child’s life. Also, the fact that these memories will be here to cherish for generations to come makes it even more spectacular.
