We are so happy with this Schmidt Family Heirloom Session! Jamie knew as soon as he hung up the phone with Lisa that this session was going to be amazing. He is the master of busy (almost) two-year-olds and the phone conversation alone made him excited for this session. Lisa had specific ideas for what she wanted and together we landed on a color scheme that worked perfectly with the decor in their family room. She was excited to have a family portrait to display where they would be able to enjoy it every day.
Our garden, in the fall, was the perfect backdrop for this Schmidt Family Portrait. The colors were the perfect complement to their vision. We captured so many wonderful expressions from eighteen-month-old Julius that day. He moved effortlessly around the garden as Jamie found the perfect light for each pose. We utilized the lush green area for the perfect family shot. In addition, we captured several shots with Julius and dad and then with mom. These are definitely memories they will cherish for years to come. Towards the end of the day, we got some fun images of Julius enjoying himself near our gazebo. Overall, it was the perfect mixture of posed and candid shots.
Jamie’s favorite part of this session came on installation day. Julius was so excited to see himself on the wall. Later, Lisa shared that he was so proud of himself and he would comment on it every day when he walked by the collage of portraits.
