Last week share Part 1 of this beautiful wedding. Today we are bringing you The Boathouse Wedding – Part 2. However, there were so many gorgeous pictures that we will have a part 3 next week. This week’s pictures are all about the people. You can see by the smiles on their faces that this was a celebration of love, family, and friendships.

Jill and Dillon wanted to make sure we captured images of all of their friends and family that came to celebrate their special day. The backdrop of The Boathouse property was perfect for the pictures. We took advantage of the wooden gazebo decorated with beautiful flowers for the wedding ceremony. The greenery, water, and fall colors from the flowers were perfect accents to frame each image.

The images of the couple down by the water are some of our favorites. The sun reflecting off the water gave us glorious colors to work with. Jill and Dillon let their love shine through as they posed in front of the camera.

Today we are sharing The Boathouse Wedding -Part 1. There were so many beautiful pictures from this wedding that we decided to divide them into two blog posts. Next week we will share the wedding party images and the reception.

Jill and Dillon’s gorgeous wedding took place at The Boathouse at Sunday Park at Brandermill. Everything about their day turned out perfect. From the weather to the venue to the guests, the day was everything that the couple ever dreamed of. After four decades of experience photographing weddings, we can say with conviction that this day was full of love and a wonderful time was had by all. 

As we think about this wedding, one of the defining moments was us high-fiving each other as we concluded the evening. We knew we had pulled off another amazing event that the Fraziers and Stickleys would remember for many years to come. We are honored that our photographs will be the catalyst for those memories.

The Wedding Day

The day began at the Sheraton Hotel South. Here the bridal party had their hair and make-up done in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. After capturing a few moments with the girls, we headed off to Sunday Park to catch up with Dillon, his family, and the groomsmen. Since the weather and venue were so stunning, we decided to create as many outdoor photographs as possible. The sunlight streaming through the fall leaves reflected back off the water and illuminated everything with brilliant warm backlighting. This accentuated the details, creating a profound separation of subject and background. Moving into the ceremony, with their dog Otto walking down the aisle, Jill and Dillion seemed to float on air as they exchanged vows and declared each to the other. The smiles on both their faces as they recessed back down the aisle after the ceremony said it all, true joy and happiness.
