Sarah and Lee continued the Moore Family Tradition of a beautiful outdoor wedding at their family plantation, Marengo in New Kent, Virginia. On a glorious Saturday afternoon, over Labor Day weekend, Sarah and Lee got married in front of 450 of their closest family and friends! You would never have known that just one week earlier Hurricane Irene came through and wreaked havoc on New Kent County – later named one of the most devastated parts of Virginia. Irene left 1000’s of trees on the roads leading to Marengo, no electricity on the property and massive landscape damage; but over a hundred family, friends and fabulous Wedding Professionals came together to get the property back to PARTY conditions! Despite three hidden generators, 1000s of man hours and a few minor tweaks, this wedding was absolutely perfect and the sun was shining bright on Sarah and Lee.
