We are so excited to share our first post about our newest team member, Baby Carter Ross Smith, and we thought what better day than Father’s Day!

We have all been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Carter, so we wanted to let everyone know that Jessica, Alex and Baby Carter are doing well! As many of you know, Jessica has been a member of the Hayes & Fisk Family for over 8 years. She has done it all from customer service & sales to editing, and now she is an Associate Photographer for our Something Blue Wedding Line.

Carter was born on June 6th and we are so fortunate to have already been able to capture this special moment in Jessica and Alex’s lives!

It always melts our hearts when we take pictures of fathers and their newborns but these are extra special to us! We hope you enjoy these pictures of Jessica, Alex and baby Carter.

And Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there!

So, many of you have seen our recent Facebook posts about SYNC and have asked “WHAT IS SYNC?”, so we wanted to share some information with you.

As photographers we always want to be on top of our game. We constantly continue our education so that we can keep up with what is happening in this big world of photography. SYNC is just one way we do this. It is a Senior and Youth Conference that will “help photographers evolve and grow with the ever changing teen generation”.

We LOVE photographing our seniors and we just want to make sure we know what they want!

To build excitement leading up to the Conference in February 2013, SYNC has an “In It To Win It” Box going all of the country, to different photographers. There is a surprise in the box and we are challenged with doing a spoof or funny video/post about what we find in the box – but we can’t really reveal what we really find.

We received the box this week and put together this video (see below). At the conference next year a winner will be announced and they will reveal what was in the box!

Erin Woolard & Parks Smith married May 19, 2012

First of all we were so excited to be photographing at The Historic John Marshall. These newly renovated ballrooms are absolutely beautiful and provide an exquisite backdrop for a “Traditional Richmond Wedding”.

Erin and Parks were an adorable couple and we think their smiles in these pictures say it all! They truly seemed to enjoy their special day and we were honored to be part of it.
