Fall is the best time in Central Virginia for a family road trip. Last week on Virginia This Morning, Mary talked about some great destinations around Virginia. She also discussed the importance of Documenting Family Fall Road Trips.
In the segment below, you will hear Mary and Bill Bevins talk about many wonderful destinations around Central Virginia. They begin their discussion with the mountains. First, they make a stop in Charlottesville where you can visit Carter’s Mountain to pick apples and sip on cider. Charlottesville has an endless amount of places to visit and activities to participate in throughout the year. Leaving Charlottesville, they move on to Wintergreen. Here you and your family can enjoy hiking, parks, Discovery Ridge. Finally, your travels to the mountains must include the overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway and local wineries and breweries along the way. All of these destinations make for the perfect family photo.
Then Bill makes sure Mary discusses “The Rivah”. A fall in Center Virginia wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Urbanna Oyster Festival. Next, they move on to Virginia Beach. There are many festivals and activities going on at the beach. Fall is also the perfect time to simply sit outside and enjoy the wonderful restaurants up and down the boardwalk.
Finally, they end at “home” in RVA. Mary discusses visiting Maymont Park, taking a Segway Tour, or simply enjoying some of Richmond’s rooftop restaurants. No matter which destination you choose, you are sure to have a great time. We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful places to visit within two hours east or west.
Documenting These Moments
However, Mary wants to make sure we understand that while visiting these places as a family is truly a blessing; it is as important that we document them. As an empty nester, she can attest to how quickly your kids grow up. Family portraits are a great way to preserve these memories and they give you something to look at every day.
Each and every year local families hire Hayes & Fisk to photograph their family portraits, not only at home in Richmond but also all over the state. We travel from the mountains to the beach to help you created lasting memories. Take a look below at some of the portraits that line the walls of so many homes around Richmond. Call us today so we can make this happen for you and your family.
