Dalawari Family Oil Portrait Session

We love the cultural representation that the Dalawari Family Oil Portrait Session brings. No matter our background, heritage and culture is something that we all share. At Hayes & Fisk, we believe that there is no better way to preserve today’s memories for tomorrow than having a professional portrait created. We absolutely love how the Dalawari’s culture is honored with these lasting memories

To start with, Jesdeep, Dimple, and their nine-year-old son, Jeeves visited our Parham Road studio for this session. Jeeves’ cousin even joined in on the fun. We loved seeing Jeeves in his traditional Indian clothing. Our garden was the perfect backdrop to highlight his gold and navy Kurta. His cousin’s pink silk Kurta and Churidar pants were perfect with the spring bloom of pink azaleas.

This session was full of rich heritage mixed with the spontaneous expressions of childhood. Perfect sessions like this truly highlight the best part of our job. We know that Jesdeep and Dimple will look back on this session and relish this moment in time. In the end, their family’s history will be forever documented for future generations.

If you would like Hayes & Fisk to create a similar experience for your family, give us a call today. We will schedule your consultation and get started creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We love how the images turned out for the Walton Sisters’ Portrait Session. We met Laura and her daughters, Anna Kate and Caroline after they were given a gift certificate to Hayes & Fisk. This certificate was given to them by Amanda and Anne, the former owners of Buttons & Bows Children’s Boutique. It is funny how some of our best Hayes & Fisk relationships and portraits start with a gift certificate.

From the beginning Jamie knew that the end product would have a more sophisticated look. The blue tones from both of the girl’s dresses, helped us create the perfect look. Also, their outfits provided the perfect pop of color, with our gardens serving as the backdrop. We are so lucky to have these gorgeous gardens on our studio property.

In addition, we were really able to capture the innocence of the sisters as both the girls laughed and played the entire session. Also, their playful nature lead to the best smiles and their personalities really came through.

Like so many of our portrait consultations, Laura and Michael wanted to know when was the best time to have their children photographed. Our answer is simple – right now! With our busy, over-scheduled lives, living in the moment becomes harder and harder to accomplish. We have never had anyone say, “I wish we would have waited to have these portraits done.” The Walton Family now gets to enjoy these beautiful images on their walls every day. We can’t think of a better decoration piece for your walls.

We loved photographing this Lanni Family Studio Session. This session came from an installation we were doing with VCU Health Systems, but it wasn’t the first time we had photographed this family.

It had been nine years since we had photographed Asher. He may be even more handsome now than he was at nine days old. Asher has gorgeous olive skin and big, deep, brown eyes. He was just about the best model we have had for a 9-year-old. So full of happiness and joy. Check out his smile in the images below!

Since we were working on our latest installation for the new Mother-Infant Ward of the Main 8 Hospital, it was only fitting to include some of the doctors and nurses’ families who work on that floor. Susan is so relatable, which we are sure is one quality that draws expectant and new mothers to her. Plus she loves her son and husband so much, it just radiated from her during this session.

The Lanni Family joined us at our Parham Road studio for this session. They dressed in dark t-shirts and jeans, which gave them the perfect casual but put-together look for their portraits. At the bottom of this post, you will see images of the portraits that were installed at their home. We think they turned out absolutely perfect!
