Today we are sharing our first Vendor Spotlight: Mobile Spa RVA! We felt like this was a perfect time to spread some local vender love! Our RVA Small Businesses are going to need more support than ever when things get back to “normal”. The businesses that we highlight all play a special part in the Hayes & Fisk Family.

Today we want to introduce you to Precious Turner with Mobile Spa RVA (The Joy Concierge). Her on-location services and skills will certainly come in handy when we are finished with our social distancing!

Mobile Spa RVA delivers spa services such as manicures, pedicures, massages and other spa treatments to your home or office for Events, Parties or Individual Services. They specialize in working with the elderly and often visit nursing and rehab facilities for work and charity.

Personal Testimonial from Mary:

I personally use this team and highly recommend them. Precious is absolutely top notch at everything she does. She is also the one that did all of our holiday decor at the Hayes & Fisk Photography studio and my personal home. She is truly an artist.

We are all in this together and we are STRONGER together. Looking forward to being able to support all of the amazing local RVA businesses that are such an important part of our community.

Vendor Spotlight on FloraCulture

We continue our Vendor Spotlight Feature on FloraCulture located in Richmond, Virginia. Owner and operator, Al Brockwell AIFD, is a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers. He has traveled the world learning “the art of floral design” with other artists. Al is a lecturer, an instructor at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, and a traveling show designer.  He has been in the floral business for over 30 years, winning numerous awards for his work.

We are huge fans of Al’s work and we hope you enjoy this 5 fun questions with Al.

Q: How did you get started in the floral business?

A:   30 years ago I worked in a garden center and I got dragged in to help in the florist at holidays and discovered I loved it. The rest is history!

Q: We know you do wedding flowers but what other services do you offer?

A: Our main service is our Brides, but a large part of business is corporate events as well.

Q: What do you think that top trend in 2016 will be for wedding floral/décor?

A: I am seeing a lot of Industrial Chic including urban accents, wood pallets and heavy on mixed metal accents.  Re-purposing a certain item and giving a new unexpected look.

Q: Name one thing that you would like Richmond to know about Flora Culture.

A: Any idea you have we can always come up with a floral vision for you.

Q: What is your favorite flower?

A: I love orchids,  always in style and always a show stopper.

Below are some images from a wedding at Dover Hall Estate where FloraCulture did the flowers.
